라라랜드와 문라이트가 전 부문에서 싹쓸이 하다시피했고, 마지막 작품상 발표는 번복되는 헤프닝도..(이렇게 큰 행사에도 실수가 벌어지는구나..)
국내에 들어오지 않는 영화도 있지만, 지난해 재미있게 봤던 라라랜드가 여러 부문에서 수상하는 것을 보니 웬지 기분이 좋다.
어떻게보면 작품상을 타지 않은 것이 다행으로 보인다. 라라랜드 감독은 33살로 이번에 작품상을 타버리면, 앞으로 할 일이 없어질 수 있는...
신예감독도 이렇게 올라설 수 있는 것은 영화판 구조 자체가 우리나라와 많이 다르기 때문이 아닐까?
개인 인생은 대부분 포기하고, 도제 시스템으로 어떻게든 영화감독으로 데뷔하기 위해 고생을 감수하다가 첫번째 작품으로 대부분 미리 결정이 나버리는..환경...
어떻게 보면 국내 영화계는 젊은 감독들이 등장하지 않았으면, 예전 그대로 였을 것 같다.
그래도 최근에는 헐리웃에 진출하는 감독들도 나오고 있으니... 조만간 아카데미상을 받는 감독도 나오기를...
이번 아카데미상에서 특이한 것은 넷플릭스와 아마존 스튜디오 영향력이 커졌다는 점. 영화사 중심 판도도 변화가 있는 것 같다.
다큐멘터리 부문 수상작 OJ심슨은 5편으로 되어 있는 7시간 47분짜리로 역대 수상작 중 가장 긴 시간이라고 한다. 처음에 보고 오타가 난 줄 알았다.
라이온스게이트는 이번 아카데미상 수혜를 가장 많이 본 영화사. 라라랜드와 핵소고지로. 전체 지분 33%를 가져갔다.
